Updating Your Non-Steam GamesNotes:
- Your Non-Steam games will be detected and imported into the games.xml database automatically whenever you open the Update Manager window, or whenever your scheduled updates run.
- You can turn off auto-resuming of patch downloads when SteamLab starts by changing the Resume key under the Updates header in the cfg\config.ini file to 0
- You can schedule these updates to occur automatically using the Schedule Manager or by setting an update time in the Settings GUI (old method)
- You will be prompted to download uTorrent to facilitate game patch downloading. This is a self-contained version which will not actually install any registry keys or files outside of the SteamLab directory.
- Open the Update Manager by either (a) Clicking the SteamLab icon in the taskbar notification area and choosing Tools -> Update Manager or (b) Clicking "Updates" on the SteamDock.
- To search for patches for all games in the list, click the Search All button. To search for a specific game, select it from the list and click the Search button. Searching larger lists can take a minute or more; please be patient.
- To start downloading all available patches, click the Get All button. To start downloading a patch for a specific game, select the game from the list and click the Get button. You will need to allow SteamLab to download uTorrent if you have not already.
- You can monitor the download progress using the Update Manager window, or by double-clicking the uTorrent icon with the black downward-pointing arrow in the taskbar notification area. When the download(s) is/are complete, 'Patch Ready' will be displayed as the status for those games.
- To install all available updates, click the Install All button to launch each patch installer in turn. To install a specific patch, select the game in the list and click the Install button to launch the downloaded patch.
